It makes me happy knowing what I've written just might help out. If you go to http://lms.maryparke.com and login to the Moodle Site Administration course, you'll see a sample course template file (under "Now Translate to Moodle") with this basic "weekly" structure I've mentioned above. It's a backup of my course template file - you'd have to restore it to a course on your Moodle server to view. I've also just updated this post to reflect corrected information: The instructor determines the course start date and this sets the start date for each "week" in the course, not the site administrator. My problem seems to be clutter. I teach a three year course in graphic communications using topics - but I have so many different activities that I have trouble managing all of the content - it becomes overwhelming. Luckily I can hide the majority of the mess from students - but it's been bugging me for the last year. Ah - summer! Great post – I’ll definitely be sharing this with my school’s PLC and revisit my Moodle site structure this summer. My problem seems to be clutter. I teach a three year course in graphic communications using topics – but I have so many different activities that I have trouble managing all of the content – it becomes overwhelming.
